Embracing the new era of theatre-making, Project Y has commissioned 5 talented women playwrights to create short plays for a hybrid theatre. Playwrights Eliza Bent, Kaaron Briscoe, Georgina Escobar, Amina Henry, and Erin Mallon were asked to write plays that invite in an audience of simultaneously streaming and in-person audiences. The other requirement – that they be “2 Handers,” which in theatre lingo means having a cast of just 2 actors. Be the first to experience these new hybrid works, ranging from the serious to the comedic to the intense, all experimental as we take the lead in figuring out this brave new world of theatre in a post-pandemic city.
